Being a parent is hard we know this but do we really?
How often do we have true genuine conversations about what it's like to become a mother? We see women becoming mother's on a daily basis but we rarely hear or see women talking about their journey.
Working with Bree and hearing her story was inspiring and insightful. In sharing her own words I hope other women are able to find connection and familiarity. It's time for women to be seen and heard.
“I've wanted to be a mom for as long as I can remember. I've been helping other people take care of their kids since I was 12. I've been known as super Aunt Bree forever. I can no longer imagine a life that didn't have my children in it, but that's not to say it's easy. I never expected having a child with your exact same personality and fire would be such a challenge.. even now with him only a "threenager" we are in a daily battle of wills. I can say it makes the sweet moments and victories with him so much more special and treasured. Also the entire experience of a wild first baby make a mellow easy going second baby like a daily gift from the universe."
"Being a mother is quite honestly the hardest job I've ever had, I could have been a traveling photographer, made my own schedule, moved with the wind, slept beautiful endless hours lol... but then I never would have known Jasper's most uncontrollable explosion of belly laughter when being tickled, or the look of Wilder smiling with his whole body (making him nearly fall over) just because I walked into the room. It's the good stuff.”
